Bikepacking inspiration

After riding fatbike for one hour and fourty minutes I end up watching Youtube and found few inspiring videos. One reason why I bought fatbike was bikepacking.  I don't have plans for trips but I find bikepacking interesting. After watching these I might have to plan something for next year.

Summer 2018

Few words of last summer and what I did plus some drone footage. I bought DJI Mavic Air. Couldn't use it too much during summer because every place was full of people enjoying hot weather. It took this long to get some drone footage here.

Tour de France 2018

I spent way too much time watching Tour de France. It was too hot to do anything other than ride bikes and watch Tour. Next video will be about something else. Not sure about what yet. I have idea for one video but it has to wait for when it gets darker. I will make something before that.

I really hate how Youtube compression messes these faster videos. It looked better on rendered video but Youtube had to mess it even though video had settings Youtube should prefer. I have one idea how ti fix it but it waits for paid version of DaVinci Resolve 15 to be available. It is in paid Resolve 14 but I won't buy it because 15 is coming soon.

Tour de France 2018 preview

My short Tour de France preview. Footage is shot around Helsinki because my video production budget doesn't allow me to go shooting footage to France. If this gets lot of views and likes I might do another one after the race reviewing the race.

I am coming back

I have been away for a while but I am coming back. I took break from almost all content creation when I took break from Youtube. It wasn't my original plan but I didn't feel like doing anything and it just happened. More reasons for it in the video above. This site will be more active from now on.

My thoughts of Sony A7III

I haven't had my hands on camera yet. Video above is best review I have seen yet. Max usually does best reviews when cameras are released. Philip Bloom's reviews take much more time.

I didn't have any plans to go full frame but this camera has almost everything I want for reasonable price. 50/60fps 4K video is only thing missing but 1080P slow motion looks really good. Low light is really good. IBIS looks usable. I am looking for camera with usable IBIS. I don't think A6500 has good enough IBIS. That is why I still have A6300 and not A6500.

At the moment this is not on my shopping list. I will wait for A6700/A7000 for little bit longer. Both names have been in rumors. That camera will probably be close to what A7III is in APS-C format. I have almost every lens I need in APS-C format. Getting similar set for full frame would cost at least 4000 euros. Even with that my APS-C set would be better for gimbal and probably few other uses too. I could use them with A7III on crop mode but I would lose some picture quality. Not much but some.

If A6700/A7000 isn't announced this summer or earlier I might have to consider A7III. It is really good camera not only for the price. It is really good camera. If I didn't need to buy another set of lenses I would be really tempted to buy it.
